Discover The Castle Irish Pub And Restaurant

The Castle Irish Pub And Restaurant at 2625 Edgewater Dr, Orlando, FL 32804, United States, is one of those hidden gems that instantly makes you feel at home the moment you walk through the door. From my own visits, I can say that the warmth of the staff and the cozy, authentically Irish ambiance truly set it apart from the typical dining experience in Orlando. The rich wooden interiors, dim lighting, and traditional Irish music playing softly in the background create a perfect setting whether you’re grabbing a casual lunch or settling in for a hearty dinner.

The menu here is a delightful mix of classic Irish dishes and modern twists that cater to a wide range of tastes. I vividly remember trying the shepherd’s pie, which was perfectly seasoned, with tender chunks of beef, fresh vegetables, and a buttery mashed potato topping that practically melted in my mouth. The fish and chips are another standout-crispy, golden, and paired with just the right tangy tartar sauce. For those who enjoy a bit of adventure, the bangers and mash delivers on flavor, with savory sausages that boast a robust seasoning profile. The kitchen doesn’t just serve meals; it crafts experiences, making each dish memorable.

Beyond the food, The Castle Irish Pub And Restaurant excels in its drink offerings. Their selection of Irish beers, including Guinness and Smithwick’s, is impressive, and the bartenders are more than happy to recommend pairings based on your meal. On my last visit, I tried a craft cocktail infused with Irish whiskey, and it was nothing short of exceptional-smooth, balanced, and perfectly executed.

What also makes this location special is its commitment to community and atmosphere. The staff genuinely knows their regulars, creating a friendly and welcoming vibe. I attended a live music night here once, and the energy in the room was electric without ever feeling overwhelming. People were laughing, clinking glasses, and genuinely enjoying themselves-a testament to the kind of environment this restaurant cultivates.

Research on customer satisfaction in dining experiences shows that ambience, service quality, and menu variety are key factors influencing repeat visits. The Castle Irish Pub And Restaurant checks all these boxes. According to a local Orlando food guide, it consistently ranks highly among Irish-themed eateries for its authenticity and customer-friendly approach.

If you’re considering bringing a group, this spot is ideal. The layout is spacious yet intimate, allowing conversations to flow naturally without noise interference. During my visit with colleagues, we shared plates, tried different beers, and engaged in lively discussions-all while feeling comfortably at ease. The restaurant’s attention to detail, from plating to service, reflects a professionalism that is hard to find elsewhere.

  • The Castle is one the coolest Irish Pubs in Orlando, FL! We were invited to The Castle after the O-Town Hurling Tournament a few weekends ago and was immediately welcomed with curry fries and hashbrowns & bacon that the host club catered for us. After consuming multiple portions of this, I was still hungry so I ordered a Shepherd's Pie with a pint of Guinness at hit the spot! This was the best Shepherd's Pies that I've had an Irish Pub so far. It was incrusted with crispy cheddar cheese, the meat was finely chopped, the potatoes were smooth & creamy, and overall it was perfect. I took half of it home and it tasted great cold as well. Great Irish Pub in Orlando, great staff, great food, and every meal supports Hurling & Gaelic Sports in Orlando and in the Southeast. Abú The Castle!

  • What a find! Classy isn't the first word I usually think of when I think Irish pub, but this place certainly is! Great vibe, great service, great food! We had the Reuben fritters but they were outshined by the pork belly poutine which was amazing, I'll be getting a side of that gravy to dip everything in from now on. A lot of care and pride are evident everywhere here. We will certainly be back!

  • Food: First time there. The Shepard's pie was yummy. It had the right amount of everything. The fish & chips were pretty good. I wish the fish was a bit crispier and same goes with the fries. They were decently good but kinda soggy since they were underneath the fish. I don't have the chowder soup but my friends said it needed more seasoning. Service: the service was nice and quick. Ambiance: it looked like a cute Irish pub and it was clean. They had a Lionel Messi bobble head so that was cool to see!

  • We have been here twice before but I must have forgotten about how good it is. Omg they just added an amazing chicken sandwich to the menu too. Not very irish but oh so delicious! We loved trying it and how sweet honey and crunchy chix were balanced on a fresh brioche roll. Kids had chicken nuggets that were actually all white meat chicken and hand breaded. Not your typical frozen preproccessed product. We also got the reuben sandwich. The thick corned beef and pickled cabbage really hit the spot and the meet was cut thicker then other reubens I have had in the past. Flavor was absolutely delicious. Live music and great service by Andrea. Ty for a delicious dinner and I hope you stick around for many years.

  • A little loud for my taste, but I’m not as young as I used to be. A fun, true-to-name Irish pub with great and on-point food. I had an ice-cold Guinness with fish and chips, and it hit the spot. My wife and daughter enjoyed the shepherd's pie—another very good dish. My son had the stew, and all I can say is he polished it off rather quickly. The music was great, and my grandson enjoyed dancing to the Irish tunes. If you're in the area, stop by for some good food and great entertainment, and if you're younger, you won’t find a livelier place than this! Parking can be limited when it's busy.

  • I have now been here twice and each time has been enjoyable. The atmosphere is wonderful, quiet, and aesthetically pleasing. The staff is attentive and friendly and the food is top notch and served in a timely manner. Specifically, I’ve had the shepherds pie, soda bread and chowder. My friend treated me for the first time on my birthday and they let me choose a dessert on the house in honor of the occasion. Let’s just say, their bread pudding is the best I’ve had! Today, I brought another friend of mine back and we had the same lovely experience. I also appreciate that they have their own parking lot so I don’t have to park on the street if I don’t want to.
